The White Tiger (Japanese: ビャッコ, Byakko) is a Wood attribute creature and a Summons type card introduced in Lost Kingdoms. It is one of the four Sacred Beasts that rules over a particular attribute.

The White Tiger is a secret boss only seen at Hupon-Jen.

Appearance[]

The White Tiger resembles what he is called; a white tiger. However, unlike a normal white tiger, the White Tiger has a spiraling horn on the center of its head and a long, black beard. He also has several green growths, some of which resemble striped, leaf-like blades sprouting from his shoulders and the tip of his tail.

In Lost Kingdoms, the tip of the White Tiger's tail has a green flame on it when he is fought as a boss or when his card is copied at the Apothecary. In Lost Kingdoms II, there is no flame on his tail at all.

Obtainability[]

  • By defeating the White Tiger in Hupon-Jen for the 1st time
  • By copying one using 5000 EXP

Strategies[]

As a Card[]

This monster has a very fast, if somewhat narrow attack. Once summoned it lunges forwards to strike all in it's path. The White Tiger has the highest attack power in the game, making it the strongest Summons that actually deals damage.

The White Tiger (Japanese: ビャッコ, Byakko) returns in Lost Kingdoms II. He retains both the Wood attribute and the Summons type. The White Tiger is one of the four Sacred Beasts that rules over a particular attribute. In this game, the White Tiger and the other three Sacred Beasts are ruled by the Emperor.

The White Tiger can be found as a powerful regular enemy in Level 20 of the Proving Grounds, where the other Sacred Beasts and their leader can be fought, as well.

Obtainability[]

  • By transforming a Nueh card with 25000 EXP
  • By capturing one in Level 20 of the Proving Grounds
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Level 20 of the Proving Grounds. Only 1 White Tiger card is available. This Level Bonus can be accessed whenever the level is cleared with at least 1 rating star.
  • By importing cards from a Lost Kingdoms save file after clearing Sacred Battle Arena 2. The option to do this can only be taken once.
  • By copying one using 52000 EXP, but only in RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II. The White Tiger card cannot be copied in the US and PAL versions.

As a Card[]

This monster has a very fast, if somewhat narrow attack. Once summoned it lunges forwards to strike all in it's path. The White Tiger has the highest attack power in the game, making it the strongest Summons that actually deals damage.

As a Monster[]

The White Tiger as an enemy is dangerous for its speed. When encountering this monster in the Proving Grounds, he will be accompanied by the other Sacred Beasts, which makes things even more dangerous. Using Devata cards can help Tara sneak past some of the rooms the White Tiger and the other Sacred Beasts are in, but she will eventually be locked in a room where she has to face them all at once.

When dealing with the room where Tara must defeat all four Sacred Beasts, it might be best to use a Berserk Master card, as the Berserk Master will cause all monsters to become hostile to each other. Since the White Tiger and all other the Sacred Beasts are powerful foes, they will most likely cause massive damage to each other when in affected by his ability. Using Devata cards will also work well with this strategy, as while the Berserk Master is active, the stealthiness of the Devata card can be used to avoid being harmed by the Berserk Master and the Sacred Beasts, and it also makes it easier to collect the Magic Stones that are dropped from the enemy monsters as they take damage.

However, the Berserk Master strategy does have a few drawbacks. The Berserk Master does not distinguish between friend and foe, and if any other Independent or Helper type cards are active, they won't, either. Additionally, in RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II, this strategy is not as effective as it is in the US and PAL versions. The Berserk Master card stats were altered, so he has less defense and a shorter lifespan, which shortens the time his ability, now a Unique Skill, can be active. He was also changed to a Helper type, so the Z-Effect cannot increase his attack power in RUNE II.
