Thanatos (Japanese: タナトス, Thanatos) is a Neutral attribute creature and a Summons type card introduced in Lost Kingdoms II.
Thanatos can be found as a boss in Obenoix Gorge, and upon defeat, will surrender the Phantom Ship card.
Appearance[]
Thanatos is an eerily levitating god of death composed of four hooded skulls twisted in a bundle of white cloth wearing a few brown belts. The top and bottom ends of its wrappings are circled by hovering red ribbons.
Obtainability[]
- By upgrading a Death card with 27000 EXP
- By opening chest in Obenoix Gorge, but only in the US and PAL versions of Lost Kingdoms II. Found under the frozen waterfall. The ice can be shattered by using Stone Golem card withan activated Magic Booster. This card was replaced with the Kuri's Theme card in RUNE II, the Japanese version.
- By capturing it before Obenoix Gorge is cleared
- By choosing one in the Level Bonus of Obenoix Gorge. Only 1 Thanatos card available. This Level Bonus can only be accessed once.
- By copying one using 40000 EXP

- Thanatos is one of two personifications of death that appears as a card monster in the Lost Kingdoms series, along with Death itself.
